Editorial policy
Modern News Analysis aims to make the reasoning behind public claims easier to inspect. We write with care about what is known, what is interpretation and what remains uncertain.
Accuracy and context
We check wording, names of concepts and the relationship between a claim and the support offered for it. We avoid presenting an illustration as proof of a wider pattern, and make meaningful limits or uncertainty clear. When an article depends on a particular account, we identify the type of source and its role where relevant.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader value and clarity. A commercial relationship does not buy a favourable conclusion or editorial control. We do not imply that an article is independent analysis when it has been shaped by a partner.
Corrections
Readers can use the Contact page to point out a possible error. We review specific, verifiable concerns and correct material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Partner material and illustrations
Partner material and paid placements are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. Some illustrations on the site are AI-generated; they are visual aids, not documentary evidence, and are identified accordingly.
A claim deserves more than a quick reaction
We slow the scroll just enough to distinguish evidence, interpretation and open questions, so readers can make up their own minds.
